The pre-washed weave is noticeably soft right out of the package, no stiff break-in period at all. I’ve washed it twice already and it’s only gotten more supple, plus the smoke gray hides wrinkles beautifully.
I was a little worried linen would feel scratchy, but this is pre-washed so it’s soft right out of the package, and after two washes it’s even better. The smoke gray color is exactly what’s in the photos—calm and muted. It’s breathable at night, which has made a real difference for me.
The first night I slept under this smoke gray cover, I kept running my hands over it—that pre-washed vintage softness is real, not just marketing talk. After three machine washes, it’s somehow even more pliable and the color hasn’t faded a bit, which is exactly what I hoped for from a flax linen set
