The first time I washed it, I was surprised how the fabric already felt broken-in—no stiff, crunchy phase at all. It's genuinely gotten softer after a few cycles, and the weave stays breathable even on warm nights.
It feels noticeably cooler than my old cotton sheet, and the weight is just right for warmer nights. The European flax is genuinely softer after the second wash, which surprised me since I usually have to break in linen for months.
The pre-washed weave gives it that lived-in softness immediately, no stiff break-in period like most new linen. Three washes in and it’s somehow even more buttery against my skin, and the white stays crisp without any see-through thinness. My only gripe is the care label, but that’s a tiny nuisance
